You can talk about yourself the entire conversation, and that’s totally fine! (in fact, I encourage it)

You never have to worry about burdening me - it’s literally my job to listen (and I love doing it)

I’ve trained for many years to know how to listen well, help you sort through things, and get people unstuck from their stuff.

Plus, you get to learn how to be healthier, happier, and more fulfilled just by talking to me!

Come on, who wouldn’t want to do therapy?

I hear you - it’s really hard work.

It’s scary and overwhelming and and you just. don’t. want. to go there. Oh friend, I feel you.

You’re already working so hard.

Every day, you’re doing the best you can to live and grow and love while you’re fighting against some really heavy stuff.

You’re already doing the work. I can just help make it less hard, and I can help you make it really count.

I believe in you, and I know how strong you are. I’ll be there every step of the way, and I won’t ask you to do anything that you aren’t able to do yet. I I will be your biggest advocate and your loudest cheerleader until you learn to do it for yourself. 

You aren’t struggling because there’s something wrong with you. You’re struggling because you haven’t learned the skills to do things better.

Believe me - we can do better.
